Great poem, Dorothea! It's so bizarre and surreal...I really like it.

Best,

Dotty - Wow I opened the New Yorker today and found "Tornado". So great. I've read it over and over, and out loud over the phone to a freind.
As your words often do - the poem delights, frightens, disorients, and in the end is somehow soothing.
Love your "explanation" on the blog!!
Boston misses you!!!

Hi Hannah! Thank you so much!!

Hi Tim! I miss you so much! How are you doing? This is the nicest message ever. Are you ever in NYC? I live here now and would love to see you sometime. And I should be in Boston soon, so I'll drop you a line when I'm there. xox, Dottie
